Give us your feedback on Stockpile here!
Thus far, we've learned from Stockpile that we need to make sure that tiebreakers start with inactivity first, and not anything else. It was unfair that players who risked going to Jail were being eliminated before players who did nothing all game, since Sleep is the default action. What we should've done was count all of the round actions were not sent, THEN go to the Jail tiebreaker and such.
Any other opinions? Let's discuss!

That wouldnt work either... if player A has been in jail 1 time and wasnt able to send one of his round's action while player B has been in jail 4 times but sent all of his round actions, player B would win over player A and that's unfair too.
Some other stuff I noticed... The game can be too easily dominated by any player if he gets cans. He can ally with a second player and take turns into stealing half - 1 cans, so that no one else would get any cans. Then he can try selling his cans, but in the end, he and only he would decide who wins and who loses. I know that it might have been the whole point of the game, but I still dont dig it. Of course, Im not saying every game will end up like that, but for me it kills most of the game's fun, because if the dominating player wants you to lose, there's absolutely nothing you can do about it.
Also, and this is probably a more personal opinion, I didn't like the fact that M-tickets were only yen for service. Why couldn't they be service for service or item for item, like on the manga?

I woudl agree that the M-Tickets were too restrictive. I thought it was silly that, to trade cans for a service, one had to trade cans for yen and yen for service. That was just annoying.
There should have been some additional penalty to having 0 cans, even if you passed. This would encourage more alliances and more desperate attempts to grab cans. As it was, the first half of the game was dull because a couple players racked up jail time and then drifted towards losing inevitably, and there wasn't much pressure on the rest of the players. The first cans were only taken on night 8, which indicates to me that people weren't trying very hard to coordinate and get them.

Also, in the players list, a list of email or AIM or something addresses would have been really helpful. The sign-up sheet said that we're all supposed to have one that we can use for this game, and it would have been much easier than the PM system (which I, at least, find to be really clunky).

[glow=maroon,2,300] If you all want to contact each other then go right ahead. We arranged you firstly by the IM services you use and timezones. Of course you will have to add each other and such by yourselves. [/glow]

We won't give out contact information only because some players do prefer privacy.

Yes, but couldn't there be a thread with the info of players who do want to contact each other? Even if the mods just stickied a 'post your AIM address here' thread, that would help.

[glow=maroon,2,300] Well perhaps a player would prefer it if they only talked to certain others, like their alliance... Making a thread to make themselves known to everyone might not be to their taste. Either way, we informed you all it was best to add and contact each other in the beginning. It is not our job to have you do it. -shrugs- You guys can also post you know. If you want to contact someone then just ask them via PM or make a thread for them to post in. [/glow]

Just to reiterate that point: before the tournament began, we were going to publish lists of messager details (MSNs, AIMs, etc etc), except.... people started saying in their applications they didn't want their personal emails (eg MSNs) made public. Which is understandable, of course. So we came up with the middle-ground of giving lists of members in each match. Everyone knows who to message, and if anyone wants to take it to messenger, they're more than free. Helps bulk up the confessional threads in your vaults.

I still don't like the 24 hour rounds, and will still push for 48 hours. I understand that this would modify other aspects of the game (It would be a 7 round game, at most), but I believe it would be easily arrangeable.
Of course, if you guys are still just kicking out inactives, that's cool.

This is a little late, but it just occurred to me: why is it I can't sign a contract with one person to transfer cans to another?
I'm reading about insurance, and it is exactly what happens in a contract of insurance.

I'm reading about insurance, and it is exactly what happens in a contract of insurance. Because we wanted M-Tickets to behave differently from contracts. The real problem with an M-Ticket saying "You pay me X yen and I'll transfer Z my cans" is that Z didn't pay anything. We wanted this to be a game about trading and resource management, not favors. If you spent all 75M on some cans, and then suddenly needed more cans to qualify, the easy route would be to get your ally to send you cans for free through an M-Ticket with another player. We blocked that possibility off to create a different dynamic.
