The amount of time in Liar Game is doubled. First its 24 hours and then 48 hours. Seriously, 48 hours is way too long. 24 hours is more than enough to post and strategize. People may get bored and completed forget about it.

Consider 3-ish hours for meals, 7-9 hours for school/work, 3-4 more hours for overtime/homework, 2-5 hours for extracurricular activities. That would leave people with similar schedules with 3-ish hours of sleep a day as it is. It's for the busy people, Naito...

And of course for planning across time zones! When players are say, 13 hours apart, it becomes much more difficult to plan in 24 hours. Even if you send a PM, by the time that they've woken up, gotten on, read, and responded to it, 12 hours would have passed, and you'd be asleep. With a 24 hour game, you have to hope that you catch someone when they're on and that they have time to talk with you at length for planning...
Since these forums aren't that active (posting-wise anyway), this change was perfectly reasonable. If you get bored and want to stop because you have to wait an extra day to get results, then maybe you shouldn't play?

In addition to the above points, I believe you are mistaken on the fact that 24 hours is enough time to strategize. In the first round, when 24 hours was given, at least one player lost due to poor choose of weighing method. All the information he received was correct, he just couldn't find a way to interpret it to get his 100M. He lost due to poor strategizing, nothing more, nothing less.
I've seen a forum that has week-long periods, and sometimes the refs will be more than a week late. (Refs being kinda like dealers here, although anyone can become a ref. All info is public though, so anyone can call a mod to question the reffings). The forum is still active, and still gets attention.

Please let's not encourage more players to leave the Liar Game. Thanks.
But yes. From now on we're going to do 48 hours. It makes it easier on everyone, including Dealers. We don't want to lose more players because they can't make the commitment.
That being said, Notoriety is... quite substandard, in my opinion. Most of these matches might as well be called right now, especially due to the amount of players who voluntarily left or got banned. I may consider speeding up the final rounds to 24 hours unless certain games still have power struggles going on.

Please let's not encourage more players to leave the Liar Game. Thanks. I'm sorry! I didn't mean it that way at all... I've actually been saddened by inactivity for the forums, so I was hoping that there would be more active players... Please everyone, when you're done strategizing, feel free to participate in the open forums as well as the actual game! It might take your mind off the game or leave you less "bored." ;D

-bump- Why don't you plan a time like this? 24 hours a day for a 10-round match, and 48 hours a day for a 4-round match. The total amount of time used will be almost equal. 10 round-> 240; 4 round ->192 hours

Lol. One of the bits of feedback I was gonna mention was that this game should have been at most 7 rounds, coz the game dragged on for so long.

It really did... I had suggested making it 7 rounds at the same time that the meltdown occurred. Oh well.

The hilarious thing is that we actually said that rr1 should have 48 hour rounds, but you guys didn't want a 10 round game to have 48 hour rounds...
Since I'm here, and because you guys haven't put up a feedback thread... While the Adam issue is hopefully resolved, the issue of inactives is still around. So far, games with inactives have become very one-sided. Is there any thought into resolving this issue?

Depends on the nature of the individual games. We're tweaking as we go along anyway.

Hey. That surprise was planned. We're talking about how the games run when it comes to time.

What happened to all the talk of "From now on, the rounds will be 48 hours"?

What happened to all the talk of "From now on, the rounds will be 48 hours"? ...do you really want this game to have a maximum of 42 days? Admittedly, that's an awesome number, but I don't think many players would like a game that lasts a month and a half...
