Waiting anxiously in your home, you check your hair in the mirror and absent-mindedly tousle it. The envelope that arrived last week from the LGT had advised you to "dress to impress" tonight, and that's exactly what you've done: you're dressed in one of your best and favorite outfits.
A knock on your door interrupts your mile-a-minute thoughts. Opening the door, a plainly-masked LGT chauffeur greets you, leading you toward the private limousine with blacked-out windows parked in front of your home.
"Enjoy the amenities provided," he says, opening the door. Inside, you're greeted with the excited cheers of several masked floozies of your preferred gender holding glasses of champagne and hors d'oeuvres. Music blasts as the limo takes off, whisking you away to some destination while your company treats you like a rockstar.
By the time you arrive to your destination, you're tipsy and ecstatically singing along to your favorite song, loving the attention you've received. You haven't had the opportunity to let loose like this in a while... what with all the worries the LGT has tossed on you. At least they know how to make it worth your while for winning!
The chauffeur opens the door. Upon getting down, you're in a sleazy-looking alley, hearing an unidentifiable thump thump. A masked attendant creaks open a door and you're quickly ushered inside. Going up a set of narrow stairs leads you to the balcony of a trendy nightclub blasting dance music as the masses gyrate and bounce below you. You assume you are in a reserved VIP area above the action.
"Excuse me," says the attendant. He hands you a box lined with black velvet. "This is yours. Now, follow me."
You're led through doors into another area upstairs, drowning out the music from the club to echoing thumps like from outside the alley. Inside this back room, you encounter the players you won Notoriety Game with, sipping drinks of their choice.
A nearby flatscreen television playing music videos pops in static and then unexpectedly shows Barbaro's face. "Ah, excellent. You're all here. I'm sure as you all know by now, we like to treat our main round winners with something special, and tonight is your night. Last time, almost all of the winners were able to walk away with something special because we were gracious enough to give them an easy game."
A silence follows.
You hear something very slight.
Like... "fu."
"Fu."
"Fu."
...Barbaro is snickering. "Fufufu..."
His snickering slowly transforms into maniacal laughter. Your heart sinks as you dread to hear what amuses this sick man so. His laughter suddenly stops, and his masked face lunges toward the screen, his darkened eyeholes somehow staring daggers into you through the screen.
"We're done with all that. Players of your caliber deserve a challenge."
A pair of masked attendants wheel in a large black velvet box with what looks like funnels attached to the top. Each funnel is marked with the name of one of the players in the room.
"Welcome, winners of Round II, to our Mystery Round! This game is called... Lose Your Marbles!"
Barbaro explains the rules of the game.
Object
Get the most points.
Marbles
You were each given a box. Upon opening, you will see that you each have received 3 white marbles about the size of your fist. With these marbles, you will cast a vote by dropping your marble into that player's funnel. PM your Dealer with the names of 3 players, one for each marble.
You cannot give yourself a marble. You can, however, give the same person more than one marble.
Each white marble you receive is worth 1 point in your name. The white marbles are all the same, and therefore there will be complete anonymity in who you voted for when the marbles are counted.
Endgame
If you have the most points at the end of the game, you win. All other players must pay ¥100M to be given to the winner(s).
If there is no clear winner, all players will simply be fined ¥100M by the LGT.
If you do not have enough yen in your Bank Account to pay, we will gladly cover that with our own funds... at your expense, of course.
Any yen you make off of this Mystery Round will be TRANSFER LOCKED in a special subsection of your Bank Account, meaning that only you can spend/lose from it. Transferring the yen to another player’s Bank Account will be invalidated. When you lose yen in future games, your transfer-locked yen will be the first to be deducted to pay off the debt.
Miscellaneous
Inactivity
If you do not choose who to give white marbles to, you will give 1 white marble to each other player automatically, and you will be deducted 2 points from your final count.
Barbaro leaves you with these final words: "There's more to this game than what we've shown you, and it's more complex than you'd think. Be very very thoughtful of what you're about to do... because once you make your decision it cannot be reversed."
You have 72 hours to make your decision.
