With a score of 7 votes to drink versus 3 to empty, the chalice ritual is completed! Our 8 monks take their seats, and holding the chalice in their hands, utter their prayers beneath their collective breath, and drink heartily. There's a pause.... have the players all survived? ....... Results coming soon!

There's a certain stillness in the room when Sagaro re-enters. He is watching the eight pairs of eyes through blackened slits, impassively scanning the look of unease on their faces.
"I certainly hope you enjoyed your drink, lady and gentlemen," he says, revealing a very large box. "This box contains the monastery funds. These will be shared equally among you all. Now, you'd like to know how much money is in here, right?"
Sagaro's facial expression changed, though beneath the mask nobody detected this change in his mood. "I can tell you the monastery pot contains ¥870,000,000! Congratulations all: after we reclaim our 100 million yen from each of you, you have all made a guaranteed profit! Of course, this does mean you didn't trust each other fully. How very bittersweet."
The eight players all look around at each other eagerly. In spite of the goading, they had succeeded in their quest! Everybody leaves with a profit and can advance to the next round!
Sagaro, beneath his mask, chuckled. "Ku ku ku, there's one thing I should have mentioned, of course."
A courageous player pipes up, while another coughs.
"What's that?"
"You seem to be under the assumption that the poison acts instantly," Sagaro said simply. "In fact, it takes a few minutes to kick in."
The players squirm again. Someone coughs. The players realise he has coughed twice in a row now. They look to the player in the seat, and notice he's slowly turning blue.
"Alas, it appears you failed in saving everybody."
The north-western chair topples to the ground as the player on it crashes to the floor, struggling for air. After much convulsing and twitching, the players gaze into the lifeless eyes of Okamoto Keisuke as he ceases to breathe.
A stillness fills the room. Suddenly, there's another cough. The players panic, looking round for the source of the cough! Unable to see anyone struggling for air, they realise it was Sagaro coughing for their attention.
"Don't worry about the fallen player," he said. "The Liar Game Offices do not wish to harm any players in case it adversely affects our ability to reclaim the debts. He is simply drugged with a rare sleeping potion. He will wake soon with his ¥100M debt."
"For the rest of our monks, the ¥870M is split equally between the seven of you. This works out as roughly ¥24,286,000 yen per person! Enjoy that money while it lasts.... and remember that if you wish to avoid debts in future, you're going to have to make money of your own volition. Don't count on the pity of other players; they will soon have their own futures to worry about. Things are about to get very ugly."
"Now, please make your way to the coach outside. You will be paid your yen there and dropped off at home."
With that, the surviving players stepped out of the room gingerly and on to the next adventure.
