The thing is that you never said what would happen until it did, so it was kind of like you were saying that you thought it wouldn't happen, so you didn't need to tell us what would happen. I mean, if I were a captain, I would purposefully have made it happen just so I could see what happened. It's one of those unspoken hidden rules that's only obvious if you really read into the text. Anyway, if you're going to continue this topic it belongs in a different thread. This is for Bid Poker.

Okay, I'll stop. Back on topic: For the Change periods, as I understand it, the only cards available are the ones that players decide to change. What happens if only one person decides to change cards? Does it go to the next change period where the changed cards are considered "any remaining cards in the Deck?" Or does the player who changed them simply get them back to possibly change in the next Change period? On a similar topic, what exactly is meant by "any remaining cards in the Deck?" Really, the entire Change period is confusing me... Is there any way that you can clear up exactly what happens? As I understand it, for the first Change period, players choose which cards they wish to change. The cards left in the deck (though aren't all already dealt? ) as well as the ones changed are arranged into lots which are auctioned off to players in lots of the same number of cards as were changed (e.g. if A changed 2 cards, B changed 5, and C changed 1, the lots would have 2, 5, and 1 card respectively?). Unlike in the initial hand, players can win multiple lots (and I believe lots can be unbid for (and thus discarded?) ). This will be repeated for a total of 5 change sessions upon which point the game ends. And all coins used bet in the Change sessions are kept by the dealer, possibly resulting in a net loss of money. Am I correct in my understanding? If not, where am I wrong? And can you clear up some of the questions littered throughout this post? Thanks! ;D

Currently we'll be auctioning 10 hands. If we still only have 9 players, then one hand will be leftover and put into the Deck. So it will be that plus the cards that players change.
If only one person decides to change cards, then that person is the only one who can bid on lots in the Change Session. It is possible that you'll only have your own cards available to bid on. Players can choose to not bid on lots in the Change Session, so all the cards leftover will be placed in the Deck to be shuffled again for lots in the next Change Session.
You are correct on the amount of cards in the lots. If A changes 2 cards, Lot A will have 2 cards. And yes, all coins used to bid on cards go to the Dealer.
I believe that covers everything.

If there are only 9 players, and only 1 player changes in the first change period, the only lot available will the cards from the spare hand and the cards that were discarded by the player, correct?

Correct.
Although in the manga it seems that players can bid on multiple hands as I suspected... but they haven't shown what happens to players who don't get a hand.
Either way, we don't want to auto-Pig someone from the start of the game, nor do we want anyone to get into the Change Session without actually changing anything. So we'll stick to the current rules above.
