Round 8
The number display counts down the seconds as the round draws to a close. 5... 4... 3... 2.. 1... *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*... "That's the end for this round, folks! Time to count our votes and award yet another point!" He starts at Sagaro and reads the vote: 95. With no poker chips in either of his bins, the current total is 95. Next is Barbaro whose vote is, per usual, 8. And with no poker chips in his bins, the total rises to 103. The next color is red, and the vote inside reads 6. While there is nothing in the REMOVE bin, there is a single white poker chip in his RESTRICT bin, so the total remains at 103. Next is purple, whose VOTE bin contains the number 0. Alydar checks the other bins for poker chips. Once again, the REMOVE bin is empty, but the RESTRICT bin contains a single white poker chip. "Oh! Do I sense a move coming on? Let's find out!"
The next player in line is Kaitani Katsumi whose VOTE bin is empty. "Ah, I see. Very interesting play you've made here... I think. Or you're simply foolish." After the green tile is flipped to black, the bins are emptied. The REMOVE bin contains nothing, but the RESTRICT bin contains a single poker chip, this one brown. The next vote is yellow's 2, but the brown chip in his RESTRICT bin causes the total to remain at 103. There are no poker chips in his REMOVE bin. Now at Wada Mitsuru, the vote is 51. The REMOVE bin is checked first, and a single red poker chip falls out, followed by a single purple one. "I see we have yet another unsuccessful removal... Blue is still able to win this round, assuming he gets the votes." The RESTRICT bin also contains a single brown poker chip. He chuckles into his mask as he walks around to Yomohiro Rie and opens the VOTE bin. It contains the number 13, and her other two bins are empty. At last, the total increases again, this time to 116.
The roulette ball circles 14 times to fall into the yellow section of the roulette wheel. "Ah look, yet another first-time winner, I see. Well, come and collect your chip!" Alydar pulls out a silver, expensive-looking pocket watch and looks from the roulette table to it periodically as he monitors the eighth round.
Here are the current results:
0. Barbaro (8) - 1 point
1. Satake Kazuyasu (9) - 1 point
2. Aisuke Setsuna (6) - 0 points
3. Kaitani Katsumi (9) - 0 points
4. Kuwabara Kimura (2) - 1 point
5. Wada Mitsuru (8) - 2 points
6. Yomohiro Rie (10) - 0 points
7. Sagaro (7) - 1 point
From bins, players will receive the following poker chips at the end of the game:
Barbaro: 2 yellow, 1 blue, 1 red
Satake Kazuyasu: 2 yellow, 1 purple, 1 white
Aisuke Setsuna: 2 yellow, 1 white
Kaitani Katsumi: 2 brown, 1 blue, 1 yellow
Kuwabara Kimura: 1 purple, 1 brown
Wada Mitsuru: 1 green, 2 purple, 1 brown, 1 red
Yomohiro Rie: 1 blue, 1 yellow
Sagaro: 1 blue, 1 white, 1 yellow
Apologies for any possible mistakes... I recently had to adjust everything and haven't really had time to do a full proofread. At any rate, there are only 3 rounds left, just enough for one of the scoreless players to pull ahead... Or enough time for one of the other numbers to catch up or pull ahead. These last rounds are crucial, and I suggest you think carefully about your decisions. At any rate, you have 24 hours until the end of the round.
This round ends at 10:29 am GMT on March 14, 2012.
