OBJECTIVE
Finish the game with the most money, and become the Liar King!
PROCEDURE
All players are given ¥500M to play with this round! On top of that, any money you brought in from your own funds is also in play. Put another way, the half billion given to each of you supplements your previous payroll, potentially elevating you to a full billion.
Each turn you will receive 3 candles. Simply re-distribute these candles amongst yourselves. You must use all candles provided in that turn (so you cannot, for example, stash some for later turns). Failure to use your candles or providing a false submission results in a ¥200M incursion. So treat them with thought.
CANDLES AND SHRINES
At the start of each round you will receive three candles. These candles are very expensive, crafted from a rare wax produced by Cretatious-era bees we personally cloned from DNA samples preserved in amber. That is why each of these candles is valued at ¥50M. Treat them with respect.
Please PM the Dealers with the names of the player shrines to whom you are giving your candles. You may write the same name more than once, and of course you are free to choose yourself. You have 48 hours to do this each turn. You MUST use all candles, or you will be penalized ¥200M.
Each player's shrine is fit with mechanized candleholders, which arise and recede into a hidden compartment. This way all candles at a player's shrine are kept secret during the voting process. Any candles you submit weighing less than the typical 2.5 oz are not counted by the mechanism, and it will penalize you for not having used all of your candles.
At the end of each round, the amount of candles deigned to each person is counted. Similarly, the number of players from whom you received one (or more) candles is noted. This is the win/lose condition:
If you give a candle to yourself, it counts in the above tally. Conversely, receiving several candles from one player doesn't change the win/lose trigger: it's still just that player who gave them to you.
For more details on the penalties and payouts, see below.
You will only know how many candles each player received by the amount of different players, but not who voted which candles (ex: "Mr. X received 3 candles from 2 players").
At the end of each period the candles are removed and a fresh set provided. These new ones shall be used for that period, and so on.
PAYOFF MATRIX
Anywhere between 0 and 5 players can win any given round. The payoffs occur thusly:
All candles are worth ¥50M, so the value of the candles belonging to all winners is tallied, as is the value of the candles belong to the losers. For example, 6 candles total between the winners is ¥300M, while 9 candles between the losers is worth ¥450M.
The winners will evenly receive the greatest of the two amounts from the losers, who split the payment evenly. In the above scenario, ¥450M is the greater number, so the losers pay an equal amount totaling ¥450M to the winners, who then split it.
For the sake of simplicity, all splits are rounded to the hundred-thousandth, so a ¥33.6666...M payment will simply be ¥33.6M. The LGT will scoop up the remainder.
If your balance hits zero, you are eliminated from the final. You will pay whatever money you can to the winners (though it may not be the full amount stipulated). This means the winners would receive a proportionally-smaller payoff.
If a player is knocked out of the final, the remaining players get 1 extra candle each time it happens, meaning if a game reaches a final-two scenario during play, both survivors will have six candles.
ZERO
A situation may arise where you receive zero candles at all. This also means nobody gave you any candles, so, scoring 0 nominations, you are neither "odd" nor "even", technically. These Zeroes do not win or lose any money in that round, and are considered outside of the winners/losers circle. However, they gain a one-off priviledge: they can invert the results for that session. If they choose to do so, all winners will become losers, and vice versa. Payoffs therefore will travel the other way, with respect to the candle values. The game will be frozen for 24 hours for the Zero to make his/her decision.
If there are several Zeroes in the same turn, they must return a unanimous decision. Failure to do so results in no inversion.
You may abstain from a decision, but doing so means you do not count toward the unanimous decision. If all Zeros abstain, then there is no inversion. PM the Dealers your decision to abstain. Otherwise, if you have sent nothing, you will be penalized ¥100M.
YEN
Although we have given all players half a billion yen with which to line their pockets, you received a chance to bring in up to an extra half-billion into the game. Therefore, all of this money will be used. The amount you brought in will be rounded down to the nearest 10 million; so if you brought in 149 million, 140 million will be added to the half billion, meaning you begin the game with 640 million yen in play. (The remaining nine million yen shall not be used in this final, so keep it in your piggy bank).
The game accounts will be PUBLIC. The amounts each of you possess are listed in the following format:
At the end of each round, the bank balances go up and down accordingly. These are updated immediately.
The player who ends the game with the most yen in their account is crowned champion.
INACTIVITY
If you fail to submit your candles within the timeframe, or submit something that's invalid, you will be penalised 200 million yen. Any candles you did dispatch are nullified and instead sit entirely with you. Any money you were set to win from that session also goes to the LGT.
An inactive player will still pay penalties if he or she triggers a Loser condition.
MISCELLANEOUS
That is all. We will hold a practice session to allow you to get the feel for the game, using only 1 candle per player. Good luck in becoming the newly crowned King-- or Queen-- of Liars.

At the end of each round, the amount of candles deigned to each person is counted. Similarly, the number of players from whom you received one (or more) candles is noted. This is the win/lose condition:
- If you have received candles from an ODD number of players, you are deemed a WINNER, and are rewarded.
- If you have received candles from an EVEN number of players, you are deemed a LOSER, and take a penalty.
If you give a candle to yourself, it counts in the above tally. Conversely, receiving several candles from one player doesn't change the win/lose trigger: it's still just that player who gave them to you.

PAYOFF MATRIX
Anywhere between 0 and 5 players can win any given round. The payoffs occur thusly:
- If no players win and all 5 lose, all players' balances are unaffected that round (¥0M).
- If all players win and none lose, all player balances receive a bonus of ¥200M!
- If some players win while others lose, then the candles are counted and aggregated.
All candles are worth ¥50M, so the value of the candles belonging to all winners is tallied, as is the value of the candles belong to the losers. For example, 6 candles total between the winners is ¥300M, while 9 candles between the losers is worth ¥450M.

MISCELLANEOUS
- The game lasts for 7 rounds.
- Bank accounts are LOCKED. Money cannot be transferred in this game except by the win/lose conditions deigned above.
- In the event of a tie, the player who wins the most trophies this round is champion.
- No contracts.
