And with that, all six players return to the central foyer. Each person is holding two envelopes. Some are calm, others are anxious.
First off.... thanks for being the first set to finish.
Now, let's see how it went, eh? Do we have any volunteers to go first? Let's start with Hoshikawa Ryuji.. He opens envelopes #27 and #28 reluctantly. They contain -85M and -15M respectively! He falls into last place at once!
Suddenly, people realise that there's real danger here.
Haruka nervously opens her envelope #10, and it's..... +55M! She breathes a sigh of relief.
Ren, swallowing with a gulp, opens her #20 and.... +15M! Another good start.
Next.... it's Jun's turn. He takes #15, breaks the seal and.... +99M! An excellent beginning!
Kimasu opens envelope #11, and it's....... -49M! Unlucky start!
Myutsu Ryu cautiously breaks the seal of #16. All eyes are on him and.... +51M! Not bad!
Everybody has opened at least one envelope now. Ladies and gentlemen, this Liar Game could go anywhere!
Kimasu Harunashi opens his remaining envelope, #14, and with some trepidation he fumbles with the envelope...........
But before that! Ren opens her second envelope. She tears away the black covering of #8 and...... +85M! She's secured the full hundred!
So back to Kimasu, and he's holding the semi-open envelope while people look at him..... and then!!!
And then Haruka tears open her #3 in a blind fury and.....! It's a +45M! Awesome work! Another hundred!
So then eyes come back to Kimasu yet again, as he finally gets his #14 open.... someone tries to interrupt him, but it's to no avail as he reveals......
It's a -51M envelope! He's been stung badly by the game, being tricked out of both of his positive envelopes.
Suddenly, there's a change in the mood.... it's one of unease, like something bad's just happened. Sure enough, Kimasu has worked it out..... he looks over at a certain Jun Fujimoto....
Fujimoto reveals his second envelope with a grin. It's envelope #4. Kimasu's jaw drops as he sees his former envelope being ripped open by another man, and inside it was.... +99M! Fujimoto has surpassed everyone by requesting the correct envelope from his fellow player, Kimasu.
And suddenly, everybody's eyes are on Myutsu Ryu. Taking the final envelope of the match, #29, we see.............. +51M! He's also found the full hundred! Excellent job!
And the total Unclaimed Post? The twelve envelopes that have been thrown away come to a total of -298 million yen. That breaks down to a debt of 49.67 million per head. This will be subtracted from your totals.
So.... what are the final standings, eh?
[glow=lime,1,300] 1st: Fujimoto Jun, keeps #4 and #15 post-claim, sum total +148.33M.[/glow]
=2nd: Mikami Ren, keeping #8 and #20, sum total +50.33M.
=2nd: Myutsu Ryu, keeping #16 and #29, sum total +50.33M.
=2nd: Takahashi Haruka, keeping #3 and #10, sum total +50.33M.
=5th: Kimasu Harunashi, keeping #11 and #14, total -149.67M.
=5th: Hoshikawa Ryuji, good envelopes taken due to inactivity, total -149.67M.
According to the rules:
The 3 players with the most money are the winners, and will move on to Round Two. The other 3 will be sent to a Revival Round where they will fight for their survival in the tournament. If there is a tie that cannot determine the eliminated players, then all of the tied players will be eliminated.
Regretfully, as the three people in joint second place are tied over the threshhold, and it is impossible to determine a Top Three. Therefore, all of you will be going to the Revival Round. Commiserations, but at least you're rich.
Fujimoto Jun is the sole winner of this round of the Liar Game, and he advances to Round 2 automatically. Congratulations.
