Hi all,
The Dealer team here would like to apologise for some issues that have arisen in the running of this round of Blood Money.
One player (namely Aitou Kaichi) was given an incorrect mask description at the outset of this game. As a result, he has been chasing a guest who does not exist. We would like to apologise to him especially, as well as any others who have been adversely affected by this; as I'm sure you've noticed by now, one piece of information flows forward in this game, and even a small discrepancy can snowball into a major issue within a few rounds. This is not a small discrepancy. It meant the playing field was totally uneven from muster; disadvantaging this player but also giving the target comparative immunity.
The staff at the Liar Game endeavour to make games as rich, stimulating and satisfying as possible for all players, yet this is based upon fairness and balance on our part. This was a clumsy error on our part that has compromised a large portion of Blood Money Masquerade to date.
Therefore, we wish to offer a 24 hour extension to this phase. You therefore have just under 48 hours to get your next move in.
This thread will be left unlocked, because you all have right to a say in this as players. We appreciate there will be complaints and frustrations abound here. Feel free to air your grievances.
Thank you for your time, and apologies again.

A time extension cant fix 4 rounds of false information, especially when we had an immune player going around as he pleased... the game must be restarted and we all know that...

There's a bit more to the story than what the dealers have stated here, and I assume it highly likely that some other form of compensation will be handed out. The extention is being handed out partially because the dealers need time to sort out this situation. I have only requested this part be made public because I have given out details regarding my targets mask and my own mask. If someone saw someone wearing my mask kill someone wearing a different mask to what I had said my target was wearing, that would automatically make it look like I'm lying.
I have already shown the dealers that, had I had the correct information, I would have found my target within these 4 rounds. Furthermore, due to the information provided, I ended up chasing my victim in rooms in completely inappropriate areas. (The situation has changed a tad since I originally posted the evidence, but now it's even more cut and dry.)
However, even though I know the game has been compromised greatly by this, I completely understand their reluctance to restart. The game lasts 21 days as is, and restarting would increase this. Combined with the slowly-pushed-back deadlines, we would end up taking a month.

I honestly think the game should restart.
The issue here is that the Dealers didn't catch a resulting error from a mistake they made with my mask. The Dealers gave Aitou a description of the mask that was among my choices, but was not the one I chose. However, according to Barbaro, a different Dealer noted my choice, but the ones in charge of my game pegged me as an inactive and chose that mask and my starting room. After telling them what had happened, they changed it back to what I had chosen, but obviously they forgot to tell Aitou here.
This wouldn't have happened if the setup had been done properly. Honestly, the more logical solution would be a reset of the game...

If the game is restarted, due to the info we've gained so far, it will be a fairly different game.
That's not to say that would be a bad thing, it could make the whole game more interesting and after all, interesting/challenging games is what we're after here right?

OK. Since Bara Sora has filled in what happened, it won't reveal too much to point out the other error, specifically, they told me the wrong distance to my target in r1.
To be honest, while I am the one most disadvantaged by this rules mishap, I also am not going to push for a game reset. The other group's game is down to its final stages, and resetting the game would result in them waiting around needlessly. I know that waiting on another group to finish can be painstakingly annoying, especially with no progress report, as this game gives. And we could be finishing up a couple of weeks after their game.

Alright, this is my fault. I'll have to take full responsibility on this one.
It is exactly as Bara said. I forgot to update Aitou's information. Only Round 1's information on the distance was incorrect, although the mask was incorrect as well.
We will have a decision on the reset by tonight (Sagaro and I won't be available to discuss with each other until then... although he will know my stance on this issue).

Can we get a status report on what's happening? Is there going to be a reset?

No reset can possibly occur until Barbaro's back on his cyber-feet. Even then, there's a fair likelihood it won't happen. He'll make that call, but for now all players should play under the assumption things are proceeding forth as normal.

We will not be resetting the game.
While it is certainly upsetting to all of us, dealers and players, that we had an oversight that caused false information to go around, there is no point in resetting at this stage. In the end, even though things could have occurred differently and we have taken all of the points made into heavy consideration, the players affected were ultimately not handicapped as greatly as they had declared.
Other players who have asked for a reset for other reasons have done so using invalid arguments.
Again, we can't apologize enough. But we will not be resetting.
